1--> Before you leave, be sure to fill in the emergency information page of
your passport so that someone can be contacted at home if there is an
emergency and you are not able to do it yourself. If you haven't traveled
recently with this passport, double check this information.
2--> Make a copy of your passport identification page and leave it at home
with relatives or friends.
3--> Leave a copy of your itinerary with family or friends at home so that you
can be contacted in case of an emergency.
4--> Don't carry excessive amounts of currency or unnecessary credit cards
with you. Deal only with authorized agents when exchanging money or
purchasing art or antiques.
5--> If you get into trouble, contact the nearest US Embassy immediately. Remember, the US Constitution does not follow your travels! When
you are in a foreign country, you are subject to their laws and
punishments.
