Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can I renew my passport before it expires?
Usually a passport can only be renewed if it is within 6 months from its expiration. However, we can have it renewed earlier if there is a good reason for request i.e. my appearance has changed SIGNIFICANTLY, I am moving to another country for a prolonged period of time (1 + years).

How fast can I get a passport?
The speed in which your passport is processed is based on your departure date and how much you choose to pay in expedite fees. Same day and next day service are available for travelers leaving the US within 3 days (or 7 days if you are traveling to a country where a visa is required.) For most travelers, our 5 or 10 business day service is sufficient. Please call “ Passport And Visa Express “  to check the availability of slots.

My child is too young to sign his/her own passport. How can I sign my child's passport?
In the space provided for the signature, the mother or father must print the child's name and sign their own name. Then, in parenthesis by the parent's name, write the word (mother) or (father) so the Passport Agency knows who signed for the child.

I need a passport and a visa in a hurry. Can I get done both?
Depending on your departure date, we can assist you with obtaining both your passport and any visas you may require. Most visa applications can be expedited. Please call “Passport And Visa Express” to discuss the processing times.

Do I need a US passport to travel to Mexico or Canada?
As of January 23, 2007 all AIR travel to and from Mexico and Canada requires a US Passport.   Land or sea travel does not require a US Passport, but it is recommended.  If traveling by land or sea without a US passport you must have a birth certificate or other proof of U.S. citizenship and proper ID.
